Obituary
Born in Houston, Mississippi on January 15, 1939, Daisy Scott Skelton Cothren Yarbrough passed on to her heavenly reward on April 25, 2019. Reared in the Hohenlinden community of Webster County, Mississippi, Daisy lived most of her life in Houston, Mississippi with her husband, Phillip Marlyn Yarbrough, where she reared her two children, Joseph Phillip Yarbrough and Austin Scott Yarbrough. Daisy was married to Marlyn Yarbrough for 42 year s. After Marlyn passed away, Daisy later married Paige Cothren until his death.
Daisy was preceded in death by her husbands, Marlyn Yarbrough and Paige Cothren, her mother, Floy Holloway Skelton, father, Joe Edd Skelton, Sr., and a brother, Hal H. Skelton.
Daisy is survived by her two sons, daughters-in-law Felicia H. Yarbrough and Mary N. Yarbrough, a brother, Joe Edd Skelton, Jr., sister-in-law Joy Sanders Skelton, a nephew, Ross Skelton, four grandchildren, Taylor Yarbrough, Blake Yarbrough, Elizabeth Yarbrough, and Rebecca Yarbrough and many other loving relatives.
A business owner and member of the First Baptist Church in Houston, Mississippi, Daisy was active in her community for many years.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Houston Funeral Home with Dr. Daniel Heeringa officiating.
Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Houston Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Mantee, Mississippi.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
