Buddy Peden

Buddy Peden, a devoted father, brother, and respected electrician, passed away on April 9, 2026, in Houston, Mississippi. Born on September 21, 1939, in Houlka, Mississippi, Buddy lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his country, and his profession.

Throughout his career, Buddy served with honor in the United States Air Force, where he displayed commitment and discipline that would define much of his life. Following his military service, he worked as an electrician for AMD, applying his skills and knowledge in a trade that requires precision and reliability. His contributions to his field were deeply valued and respected by those who knew him professionally.

Family was central to Buddy’s life. He is survived by his beloved daughters Rhonda Carney of Vallejo, California; Cheryl Allen of Brandon, Mississippi; and Carol Burns of Houston, Mississippi. His siblings Elaine Smith and Eugene Peden remain pillars in his family circle, providing cherished memories and continued support.

Buddy’s legacy extends through his grandchildren Johnathon McCarn, Robert McCarn, Jennifer McCarn, Bradley McCarn, Samantha (Byron)Gomez, Jessica Carney and Jaymie Carney, and his great-grandchildren Carter Gomez and Cailey Gomez, who carry forward the warmth and strength he imparted.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Peden, his parents, James Peden and Inez Zachary, as well as his brother Ronny Peden. Their memories live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Buddy Peden’s life was a testament to resilience, hard work, and love for his family and community. His presence touched many, and his legacy endures through those who loved him. He will be remembered with deep respect and affection by all who had the privilege to know him.
