Charles Everett Johns, 82, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Shearer Richardson Nursing Home in Okolona, Mississippi. Mr. Johns was born on September 16, 1936 in Houston, MS to Arthur Evans Johns and Susie Gertaline Duncan. He was a self-employed re-upholstery man and a member of Mantee Baptist Church. Mr. Johns was also a veteran of the United States Air force.

Survivors include his daughters, Sherry (Gene) Owings of Wren, MS, and Judy (Mark) Samuell of Thorn, MS, one sister, Fannie Lee (Guy) Ward of Pickens,  his grandchildren, Nazareth Griffin, Kelli Griffin, Rhonda Dunn, Felicha Samuell, his great-grandchildren, Tyler, J.T., Mayala, and Tristen, and his great-great grandchild, Lizzy.

Mr. Johns is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Pauline Pounds, and brothers, Lee Roy Johns, Arthur Evans Johns, Jr., James Earl Johns, and Wilburn Johns.
