Obituary

Ferguson, Charles H. - Mantee- Charles Henry Ferguson, 82, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at his home in Mantee, MS. He was born December 29, 1934 in Clay County, MS to Grady Ferguson and Christine White Ferguson. He was a graduate of Pheba High School, A past Master Mason of Montpelier Lodge 220 and a Past Deacon of Mantee Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband to Phyllis for 61 years. Mr. Ferguson worked as a supervisor at Babcock and Wilcox where he was employed for 41 years. Mr. Ferguson also served in the U.S. Army. He was a family oriented person who loved the Lord, his children and grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Friday, April 21, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. at Mantee Baptist Church with Rev. William Carpenter Officiating.
Burial will be at Wake Forest Cemetery in Dancy, MS
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Phyllis Barton Ferguson of Mantee, one daughter, Paula (Buddy) Wade of Oklahoma City, two sons, Phil (Sara) Ferguson of Mantee, and Rob Ferguson of Mantee, daughter-in-law, Dallas Ferguson of Eupora, 8 grandchildren, Austin Wade, Conner Wade, Pearce Wade, Brennan Wade, Claire Ferguson, Sydney Ferguson, Ally Ferguson and Eden Ferguson.
Charles Ferguson is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Butler, and one brother, Jimmy Ferguson.
Visitation will be Friday, April 21, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at Mantee Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Barton, Austin Wade, Conner Wade, Pearce Wade, Brennan Wade and Keith Reed.
