Jenkins, Carl - Vardaman Carl Gene Jenkins, 51, passed away Thursday, February 04, 2016, at his home in Vardaman, MS. He was born September 6, 1964 in Bruce, MS to Freddie Franklin Jenkins and Janie Lou Harris Burks Jenkins. He was a sawmill operator for Gillespie Furniture. He was a member of Jesus is the Lord Church in Vardaman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Ellzey Cemetery in Calhoun County.
Houston Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include wife, Patricia Haire Jenkins of Vardaman; mother, Janie Burks Jenkins of Pontotoc; daughter, Laken (DeMarcus) Clemons of Houston; sons, Jamie Gene (Ashley) Jenkins of Calhoun City, Cody (Taylor) Jenkins of Vardaman; sisters, Brenda Turman of Pontotoc and Martha (John) Woods of Vicksburg, MS; brothers Robert (Sarah) Jenkins and Jerry Jenkins both of Vardaman; granddaughter, Ciara Clemons.
He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Harvey Jenkins.
Pallbearers are Greg Johnson, Tim Hawks, Josh Jenkins, Matt Jenkins, Thomas Jenkins and Kelvin Clemons.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM service time at Houston Funeral Home.
