Bobby Gilbert

Houston-James Robert "Bobby" Gilbert, 81, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Pontotoc, Mississippi. He was born on March 19, 1937 in New Albany, MS to Cecil Darwin Gilbert and Cubelle Williams Gilbert. He was a salesman at Griffin Motor Company, and a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

Funeral Service for Bobby Gilbert will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Parkway Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Rinehart and Rev. David Blackwell officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Ilene Chrestman Gilbert of Houston, one daughter, Rhonda (Keith) Allen of Pontotoc, MS., one brother, Jerry Gilbert of Pasadena, TX., one grandson, Robert (Adria) Allen of Pontotoc, MS., and three great-grandchildren, Madison Allen, Brayden Allen, Tanner Allen.

Mr. Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Parkway Baptist Church in Houston, MS.

Burial will be at Houston City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jim Hodges, Barney Hodges, Terry Ward, John Smith, Danny Ray Smith, Russell Griffin, and Raymond Griffin, Jr., and John Lee Lyles.
