Dobbins, Bobby - Woodland Bobby R. Dobbins, 73, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at his home in Woodland.
He was born September 29, 1940, in House, MS to Woodrow Wilson Dobbins and Audrey Mae Wilkerson Dobbins.
He was a retired 35- year professional truck driver for Miller Transport.
He and his wife, Jewell, will be celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary, together, on Sunday.
The funeral service is Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home in Houston with Rev. Bobby Brock officiating. Houston Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his children, Bobby Paul and Nikki Dobbins of Olive Branch, Charles R. and Angela Dobbins of Sturgis, Billy Joe and Beverly Gwen Dobbins of Maben, MS, Hettie Mae and Lynn Hendrix of Indian Land, SC; his 15 grandchildren; and his 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Dobbins on January 2, 2012; his parents,
his sister, Betty Jean Pearson, and his brother, Willie James Dobbins.
Visitation is Saturday, March 22, from 12:00 Noon until the 2:00 PM funeral service time at Houston Funeral Home in Houston.
