Brooks, Bobby - Houston- Bobby Dewey Brooks, 88, passed away Friday, October 13, 2017, at Floy Dyer Nursing Home in Houston, Mississippi. Mr. Brooks was born in Mantachie, Mississippi on August 1, 1929 Dewey Sampson Brooks and Kate Lou Loden Brooks. He was a retired owner of the Mug- N- Cone in Houston, the retired owner of Twin Oaks Steak and Fish House, retired owner of Chief Water Purification and a retired farmer. Mr. Brooks was also a member of the U.S. Army.
A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Houston Funeral Home in Houston with Rev. Al Gaspard and Rev. Kevin White officiating.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Burial will be a Chickasaw Memorial Garden in Houston, Mississippi.
Survivors include his daughter, Vicki (Rev. Kevin) White of Van Buren, Arkansas, his sons, Randy (Beverly) Brooks of Houston, and Bub (Deloris) Brooks of Houston, his sister, Carolyn Brooks of Navarre, Florida, his grandchildren, Stephanie Hall, Jason Brooks, Jeremy Brooks, John Paul Brooks, Clare Brooks Shankle, Cayla Brooks, Brooks White, Drew White, and Landon White, his great-grandchildren, Makenzie Brooks, Kendall Brooks, Sera Grace Hall, Cade Hall, Steele Brooks, Kase Brooks, Mary Carter Brooks, Lois Shankle, Louisa Shankle, Alivia Grace White, and Eli White, and one great-great grandchild, Bo Henry Hall.
Bobby Brooks is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Kate Brooks, his wife, Sarah Moore Brooks, 5 brothers and sisters, and one grandson, Will Brooks.
Visitation with family will be Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Houston Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, and Gator Smith.
