Ben Harville passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 at his home. He was born in South Carolina on February 7, 1953 to James Sandford and Mary Eloise Harville. He was a jack of all trades and worked for numerous places in the community.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 5:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home with Bro. Frankie Martin officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM to the time of service. Burial will follow at Houston City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Harville, Barry Duncan, Jimmy Harville, Cliff Harville, Lance Duncan, and Robert Harville.
He is survived by his wife of many years, Paula Harville; his sons, James Harville (Raele Bishop) of Houston, MS, Barry Duncan ( Chenah Webster) of Woodland, MS, Lance Duncan of Houston, MS; his sisters Audrey (Bobby) Smoak of South Carolina and Libby Curry of Tupelo, MS; his brothers Jim (Pati) Harville of Illinois, Cliff (Helen) Harville and Robert Harville both of Texas; his grandchildren Leah (Cody) Weeks, Lindsey (Jayme) Warren, Mackenzie Duncan, McKenzie Bishop, Harley Harville, Calem Harville and Logan Harville; seven great grandkids; a host of nieces and nephews; his life-long friend Wayne Dunn and friend Frank Pemper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sanford and Mary Eloise Harville; sister in law, Brenda Harville; brother in law, Ellis Curry.
He was loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
