Belinda Joy Whitaker

Memphis, TN-Belinda Joy Whitaker, age 71, passed away on December 2, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Collierville in Tennessee. She was born Belinda Joy Pettit to Charles Kenneth Pettit and Janette Baker Pettit on April 1, 1953, in Fort Worth, TX.

Belinda was an executive assistant for ComCap Partners where she retired at the end of 2022.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home in Houston, MS with Bro. Johnny Cherry officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. The burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Vardaman, MS. Houston Funeral Home is honored to serve the Whitaker Family.

Serving as pallbearers are Kendall Clark, JD Criddle, Korbin Bouler, Braylon Coleman, Payton Bouler, Eli Bouler, and Austin Watkins.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Whitaker of Memphis, TN; her sons, Timothy (Jessica) Bouler of Somerville, TN, Brian (Shella) Bouler Bartlett, TN, Kevin (Elizabeth) Bouler of Huntsville, AL; her step-daughters, Michelle Bell of Lakeland, TN and Christin (Louis) Coleman of St. Louis, MO; her sister, Theresa "Tee" (Lou) Pomrenke of Tupelo, MS; her brother, James (Patti) Pettit of Woodland, MS; her 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Kenneth Pettit and Janette Baker Russell.
