Soucoup, Barbara - Houston Barbara Simmons Soucoup, 72, died Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Trace Regional Hospital in Houston.
She was born October 12, 1941, in Houston to Albert Simmons and Avis Griffin Simmons. She was an insurance agent for Liberty National Life Insurance Company She was known for working at Moore s Restaurant for many years.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home with Rev. John Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Rhodes Chapel Cemetery in Houston. Houston Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Pokey Moore, and Teresa Moore both of Houston; her son, Benton Zero and Michelle Moore of Calhoun City; her grandchildren, Teletha and Chris Sansing, Jessica and Chris Laster, and Colton Moore; her great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Sansing, Jocelyn Sansing, Jagger Sansing, Jaxon Laster, Brianna Laster, Addison Moore, and Jaelynn Moore.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Avis Simmons.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home.
