Barbara Kay Stout Byars, 68, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at her home in Tupelo, MS. She was born on May 25, 1950 in Jackson, Tennessee to Marion Stout and Annie Bell Cox Stout. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Memorial Service for Barbara Byars will be 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Houlka First Baptist Church in Houlka, MS with Rev. David Blackwell officiating.

Survivors include her daughters, Thomasina Byars of Tupelo, MS., and Genger Byars of Walnut, MS ., her son, David Byars of Tupelo, MS., one sister, Alice Emerson of Cookeville, TN., her brothers, Rex (Freida) Stout of Jackson, TN., and Tony (Teresa) Surratt of Jackson, TN., her grandchildren, Shelby (Richard) West, Kaylei Baldwin, Brooklyn (Charlie) Thomas, Presley Byars, Montanna Byars, and Cole Byars, and her four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Byars is preceded in death by her parents, her late husband, Tom Byars, her step-father, Tommy Carver, and her brothers, Danny Stout and Dennis Stout.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Houlka First Baptist Church in Houlka, MS.
