Mrs. Annette Alford Gann, 63, died peacefully on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. She was born July 28, 1955, in Macon, MS to Flavius and Mary Ann O'Neil Alford. She was a graduate of Houston High School and Mississippi University for Women. Her teaching career spanned twenty-eight years including Chickasaw Academy, Houston schools, and Houlka. She was a faithful member of Houston First United Methodist Church where she served on many committees, played the piano, and directed the handbells for thirty years.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at 10:30 A.M. at Houston First United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Ducker officiating.
Burial will follow at Chickasaw Memorial Gardens in Houston, MS.
She is survived by her husband of over forty-two years, Glenn Gann of Houston, one daughter, Kathryn (Nathan) Gann Murff of Saltillo, one son, Scott (Katie) Gann of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Grayson Gann, Mattie Grace Murff, Mary Houston Murff, and Finley Gann; one sister, Nancy (David) Crump of Tupelo, and two brothers Frank (Donna) Alford and Mark (Tracie) Alford both of Houston and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Houston Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Pallbearers are Matthew Alford, Daniel Alford, Neil Alford, Terrell Alford, Peyton Crump, Josh Davis, Larry Gann, and Doug Calabrese.
