Beasley, Ann - Houston Ann Doss Beasley died Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Traceway Retirement Community in Tupelo, Mississippi. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 28, at First Methodist Church, Houston, Mississippi. The Reverend Mr. Rex Wilburn will officiate. Pallbearers will be as follows: Wallace Norman, Jr., Bob Mooneyham, Glenn Willis, Frank Alford, Daniel Alford and Bob Pearson.
Mrs. Beasley was born on September 19, 1918, in Thorn, Mississippi. She resided in Chickasaw County her entire life until moving to Tupelo in 2007. Mrs. Beasley was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Rodney Doss, Sr., and Mattie Griffin Doss; three sisters: Martha Elizabeth Doss, Virginia Martin Doss, and Lorena Doss Griffin; and her husband, Otis Himes Beasley, Jr.
Mrs. Beasley is survived by her daughter, Sharon Beasley Coker, married to John Wright Coker, Jr.; three grandchildren: John Wright Coker, III (Megan Shealy), Joseph Beasley Coker, and Margaret Ann Coker Kleisch (David); and one great grandson, Matthew Himes Coker. She is also survived by one sister, Mary Doss Bagley of Houston, Mississippi, and one brother, Joseph Rodney Doss, Jr., of Clinton, Mississippi.
Visitation will be at First United Methodist Church in Houston, Mississippi, in The Family Life Center at 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House (5159 Main Street, Tupelo, MS 38801) or First Methodist Church (230 North Jackson Street, Houston, Mississippi 38851).
